Who is the IOSH Managing Safely Course for?
The course is suited for line managers and supervisors who need to ensure that their place of work is both compliant and a safe environment.
IOSH Managing Safely consists of 7 core modules tutored over 4 days, excluding individual revision. This excludes candidates’ own revision. Following the course assessment, candidates have 2 weeks to submit their work based assessment.

Padding out training sessions?

Not us. HRS Management provides short courses from just *£310 for up to 6 staff. Training sessions will last 2-3 hours and include material.
Certificates are valid for 3 years.

Courses are provided at clients' premises.

Courses provided:
Fire marshalling
Manual handling

*excl. VAT, travel and mileage

DSE training can also be provided. DSE assessment need to be carried out more frequently and different T&C apply.

Winter tyres - should we go continental?

On the continent it is compulsory, come November, that every vehicle has to have winter tyres. It is an extra expense but one which I don't think English drivers might accept easily. But bearing in mind the increasing likelihood of harsher winters and in recent years with heavier falls of snow, it would be wise to consider investing in a set of these tyres. Evidence in research has shown significant benefits in having a set of these tyres fitted by reducing accidents and enabling people to continue safely with their travels.

Before your employees drive off to customers/clients, make sure they are equipped with the right survival gear in these wintery conditions.
Employees travelling, should always have a small ovenight bag packed in their boot.

- small first aid box
- 2nd set of warm clothing (inc. boots, hat, scarf, blanket)
- thermo flask filled with hot coffee/tea (preferably sugared)
- high visibility jacket
- snow shovel
- fully charged torch
- fully charged mobile
- danger triangle (compulsory in some countries)

- Always fill up the tank with fuel before setting off
